Norman Arts Council is doing a major update to their website site. With some restructuring, it should be done by the end of next week. One of the major elements is the Artist Directory. We are very excited about this because it will include the NSAA member’s name, link to their personal portfolio site, and an image of their work. Your membership must be current to participate. Josh Lunsford the Associate Director is doing the update of the site. He will be sending an email to those individuals who are paid NSAA members. If everyone could pass on the word to those you know who have either been members in the past, are possibly current members, or may want to become members, we would appreciate it. The more information we have on the page, the better resource it will be for those seeking the individual artists in Norman. Josh can be contacted at josh@normanarts.org

We are currently updating the Norman Studio Artists Association web page. We hope to make it a more active tool for communication and promotion. If you are a member of the NSAA we would love to get some input from you for our postings. At the last NSAA meeting we had some productive discussions about technology and using the internet. For those less familiar with webpages, I want to explain how this page works. Our NSAA page is set up as a Tumblr page. Tumblr is a microblogging website, which means that one can post short messages and imagery and that the last post is displayed first. In otherwords all the posts are displayed in reverse chronological order. As pages fill up, the past postings scroll down to previous pages. There are ways to create other pages on the website and we are looking for innovative ways to use these as a place to feature what you are doing in the studio, your upcoming events and to link visitors to your personal websites. As we construct these pages we need your input. If you want us to send visitors to your site, we need your current website information. If you have exciting news or press releases we need you to send them our way. You may include images, but please make sure they are jpeg format. We look forward to hearing from you.
